Expedition costs vary depending on factors including group size, royalty and permit costs in different seasons, category of hotel accommodation, numbers of Sherpa’s allocated and equipment, type of arrangement, and package customization. Details Itinerary

Upon your arrival at the TIA, you will need to fulfill some official procedures to obtain the Nepal Entry Visa at the Immigration counter. One of our PJ representatives will be waiting to welcome you at the Arrivals. After the meet and greet, you will be transferred to the hotel booked for you to rest. There you can freshen up and rest.

Day 1: 1st September - Arrive in Kathmandu (1,350 m)
Day 2: Official Formalities And Documentation

On the second day, we will fulfill all our official procedures including necessary documentation, obtain permits, and other formalities needed for our expedition. Then you will have time for sightseeing around the city.

The next day, we will start our preparation for our expedition. We will now pack our bags, do some necessary shopping, re-check everything that we need (Especially medicines and essentials). Briefings will be made about every aspect of the expedition and all gears and equipment, trip duration, accommodation, facilities at the base camp, and all related to the expedition. It is also an opportunity for you to communicate and introduce yourself to your fellow climbers and teammates.

Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Dharapani(1,865 m)

Meals: B,L,D

On this day, we wake up early and have our fulfilling breakfast. Then we drive to Aarughat in our private jeep enjoying the beautiful sceneries alongside the Highway. The drive will be for around 7 hours giving us a good need of rest. In Aarughat, we will rest overnight at a pre-booked comfortable teahouse.

Day 4: Trek to Gowa

Trek duration: 4 to 5 hours

Altitude: 2,300 m

We start early from Aarughat after our warm and fulfilling breakfast. Traversing the mesmerizing villages with inspiring culture and traditions, walking past dense forests for about 5 hours, we reach Khanchok to rest overnight.

Day 5: Trek to Bhimtang.

Our next stop on this trail is Sotikhola. The trail follows the Budhi Gandaki River towards its point of origin. After passing several local villages and walking for about 6 hours, we finally reach Sotikhola to rest overnight.

Day 6: Acclimatization Day at Bhimtang.

The trail from Sotikhola to Machhakhola is quite interesting and enchanting as we can feel the change in landscapes and ecosystem. With the views of eye-pleasing mountain peaks, unique landscapes, raging rivers, verdant forests, and heartwarming villages, our trek to Machhakhola will be the one worth remembering for the rest of our lives.

Day 7: Trek Samdo(3,875 m) via Larkey Pass(5,160 m)

Trekking to Samdo via Larkya Pass is a spectacular adventure in Nepal's Manaslu region, featuring a high-altitude journey through diverse landscapes. The trek crosses the challenging Larkya Pass at 5,160 meters (16,929 feet), offering breathtaking views of the Himalayas. It leads to Samdo, a traditional Tibetan village at 3,875 meters (12,713 feet), known for its scenic beauty and cultural richness.

Day 8: Trek to Samagaon

The trek from Samdo to Samagaon covers a distance of approximately 10 to 15 kilometers (6 to 9 miles) and typically takes 3 to 4 hours. The route involves descending from Samdo, located at around 3,875 meters (12,713 feet), to the lower-elevation Samagaon, situated at approximately 3,530 meters (11,585 feet). The trek offers scenic views and passes through diverse landscapes, including alpine meadows and traditional villages. This section of the Manaslu Circuit trek is generally straightforward, allowing trekkers to enjoy the cultural and natural beauty of the region.

Day 9: Rest and acclimatize in Samagaon.

A rest day in Samagaon allows trekkers to acclimatize and explore the village. Situated at 3,530 meters (11,585 feet), Samagaon offers stunning views of Manaslu and a glimpse into traditional Tibetan culture. Trekkers can visit local monasteries, enjoy the surrounding landscapes, or take a short hike to higher viewpoints for panoramic scenery.

Day 10: Trek to Manaslu Base Camp(4,750)

Every day in the trek to the Manaslu Base Camp is so beautiful with the mesmerizing and exotic sceneries throughout the trail. As we trek uphill from Namrung through the lush forests, alpine vegetation, villages with ethnic groups of Manaslu Region, the major peaks start to appear in the distance. After about 5 hours of trekking, we will finally reach Syala Village to rest overnight.

Day 11-13: Manaslu BC - Prayer Ceremony - Preparation/Climbing Training

During our stay at the base camp, we get acclimatized to the high altitude so that we can adapt to even higher camps. We also organize and participate in the prayer ceremony before the summit . The prayer is done to remain safe and as permission to climb on the holy mountain.

Besides, we also conduct some training that includes: ladder practice, walking on fixed lines, diagonal ascent and descent, traversing, duck walk, classical or flat-footing, handling Oxygen cylinders, using an Ice axe, and Crampons, using walkie-talkie and following instructions while climbing and many more.

Day 14 - 29: Climbing Period of Manaslu(8,163 m)
Day 30: Cleaning up Manaslu BC, Trek to Samagaon

After the successful summit of Mt. Manaslu, we then clean up all the trash as responsible travelers, and with all the joy, body ache, feeling of Triumph, we prepare to retrace our trail back to Sama Gaon.

Please note that this is the only guideline and outline program from day-by-day itinerary. There can be a lot of changes in those dates as per the weather and mountain conditions as well as personal health condition.

  • Base Camp: Around 4,800 meters (15,748 feet).

  • Camp I: Approximately 5,600 meters (18,373 feet).

  • Camp II: Around 6,400 meters (20,997 feet).

  • Camp III: About 6,800 meters (22,310 feet).

  • Camp IV: At approximately 7,400 meters (24,278 feet).

Climbing Mount Manaslu typically involves setting up five camps, including the base camp and four high camps. The journey starts at Base Camp, situated around 4,800 meters (15,748 feet). From there, climbers move to Camp I at about 5,600 meters (18,373 feet), Camp II at around 6,400 meters (20,997 feet), Camp III at approximately 6,800 meters (22,310 feet), and finally Camp IV at 7,400 meters (24,278 feet). These camps are strategically placed to aid in acclimatization and provide necessary rest before the final summit push.

Day 31: Fly Back to Arkhet by Helicopter on Sharing Basis and Further Drive to KTM

After summiting Manaslu, taking a helicopter from Samagaon to Arkhet is a swift and scenic way to return. This flight covers the roughly 70-kilometer (43-mile) distance in about 30 to 45 minutes, providing a stunning aerial view of the Himalayan landscape and significantly reducing travel time compared to trekking. It offers a convenient and efficient option for climbers looking to quickly transition from high-altitude conditions to a more accessible region.

Day 33 - 34: Contingency Days In Case of Bad Weather

Traveling in the Himalayas may not be certain and as perfect as planned. This is why we must allocate some buffer days to cope up with consequences due to bad weather or any other unforeseeable circumstances. This is also to help you schedule your return flight in a flexible manner to avoid the risk of missing a flight.
