Mount Siguniang is located in Rilong Town, Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It belongs to the Qionglai Mountains of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and is about 200 kilometers away from Chengdu.
Dafeng is relatively easy to climb and is suitable for people with no basic knowledge but who are interested in snow-capped mountains. The climbing period is short, only 3 days starting from Chengdu. The route is mature, the safety factor is high, and the logistical support is complete.
Starting from Haizigou, you can also enjoy the beautiful scenery of alpine meadows along the way

Details Itinerary
We will meet at Tianfu International Airport (TFU) and take a train together to Chengdu City, which will take around 1.5 hours. Upon arrival, we will check into the hotel. You will then have some free time to explore or unwind. After dinner, we will hold a brief meeting to review the details of the climb.

Train: 60 km, 1.5hrs

Note: This is using Metro Train that we travel together.
Day 1: Arrive in Chengdu
Day 2: Chengdu - Rilong
We will pick you up at hotel lobby between 8am and 9am and then drive to Rilong. It may take about 4 hours. Upon arrival, we will check in the local guesthouse. The rest time is for you to hang around or get relaxed on your own. Later after dinner, we will have a brief meeting about the climb.
Stop at Wolong National Nature Reserve for acclimatization.

Day 4: Rilong - Dafeng Base Camp
After breakfast, we will start from hotel at around 8am. Trekking from Rilong Town to Dafeng Base Camp takes about 6-8hrs depending on your body condition. On the way we will pass grassland and have a far view of the snow mountains nearby. You may also see the yaks grazing or standing leisurely. If you want to save energy for the summit climb tomorrow, you can also ride horse (cost excluded).

Altitude: 3200m-4400m
Day 5: Dafeng Base Camp - Dafeng Peak - Siguniang Mountain Town - Chengdu
Get up at 3 am, the guide will prepare breakfast for the camp, and at 4 am, the list of climbers will be decided based on the team members' condition. The climb is about 3.5 kilometers, with an altitude rise of 600 meters. Under normal circumstances, it takes 3-4 hours to reach the summit. After celebrating and taking photos, all team members retreat to the base camp, take a short rest, and then return to Siguniang Mountain Town along the way.You can also ride horse (cost excluded).
At about 4 pm, they will carpool back to Chengdu (arrive in Chengdu at 8-9 pm). (If you miss the carpool back to Chengdu at 4 pm due to personal reasons, you can either stay overnight at your own expense and carpool back to Chengdu the next day, or charter a car at your own expense to return to Chengdu that night).

Kind tips:
Since the traffic conditions in Sichuan are not very ideal, the actual arrival time may be delayed due to road construction, traffic control, and traffic jams. Therefore, it is recommended that you try to buy air tickets or train tickets to leave Chengdu the next day.
Day 6: Final Departure and Explore Chengdu
Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, is renowned for its rich cultural heritage and unique attractions. Famous for its spicy Sichuan cuisine and iconic Chengdu hotpot, the city is also known for its relaxed atmosphere and tea culture. Chengdu is home to the world-renowned Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, offering visitors a chance to see giant pandas up close. Its historic sites, such as the Wuhou Shrine and Jinli Ancient Street, alongside modern amenities, blend traditional charm with contemporary vibrancy.
We can explore it on our time and prepare to fly to our own destiny/home.
Please note that this is the only guideline and outline program from day-by-day itinerary. There can be a lot of changes in those dates as per the weather and mountain conditions as well as personal health condition.
Day 3: Acclamatize in Rilong
Today we will walk the Changping Valley of Mount Siguniang between elevation of 3400 meters and 3900 meters as an acclimatization day walking, preparing for your summit to Da Feng. We will start from where we stay and use an eco-bus to the starting point of today’s hiking. We can choose how far and how long you want to walk to get your body acclimatized to local elevation at Mount Siguniang. Remember to hike at your own pace and do no stress yourself as it is an orientation day. Overnight same Guest House.

Day 0: Travelling day to Chengdu
Once all participants have confirmed their attendance, we will schedule a meeting to finalize the travel day itinerary. Given the numerous airline options available for reaching the destination, it is essential to plan effectively to accommodate everyone’s preferences. During this meeting, we will review the preliminary schedule, including timings, activities, and meal arrangements, and make any necessary adjustments. Your feedback will be crucial to ensure the plan is suitable for everyone.
